As 2025 comes to a close, we just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for another incredible year of keeping hot rod and custom history alive with us. Whether you’ve sent in a photo, shared a story, helped us chase a lead, or simply enjoyed reading the newsletter, you’re a part of this movement, and we’re grateful. To mark the season, we’ve teamed up with legendary artist Von Franco to bring you this year’s official Kustomrama Kristmas card. You’ll find it at the top of this email, dripping with weirdness, just how we like it! This month, we’re also excited to share something special we’ve been working on: a brand-new mini-documentary about Art Himsl and his wild van-painting days in the 1970s. Art is one of the nicest and coolest legends we’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with. Back in 2019, I got to sit down with him and hear the full behind-the-scenes story of how he and Larry Haas created some of the most psychedelic vans the world has ever seen. Cutting that story down into a short video wasn’t easy… Art’s tales deserve a whole series! But I did my best, and I hope the final result gives you a taste of his genius and humor. 🎥 Click below to watch the mini-doc now: Please share it with your friends and family this holiday season, let them hear about the guy who painted moonscapes, fantasy beasts, and even a flying rooster on vans before they were cool. And hey, if you’ve got old tapes, stories, or recordings of custom car legends sitting in a drawer, we’d love to help preserve them. Or if you know someone with a great story, point your phone at them and let them talk. We’ll take care of the rest. Here’s to a creative, colorful, and kustom 2026. From all of us at Kustomrama… Merry Kristmas! Love What We Do? Help Us Keep History Alive! If you enjoyed our new mini-documentary about Art Himsl, or any of the stories we’ve shared this year, please consider supporting Kustomrama. Your donations and subscriptions help us digitize old archives, edit rare footage, produce new documentaries, and preserve the stories of hot rod and custom pioneers before they’re lost forever. Click below to leave a Christmas tip, or become a monthly supporter and join our growing family of history keepers. Every contribution, big or small, fuels the next film, article, or rescue mission from the vault. Choose how to support us: Thanks for riding with us, and for helping us keep the kulture alive,

HeyReader Below are thelatest news and updatesfrom your friends at Kustomrama KUSTOMRAMA NEWSLETTER NO. 217 This month, I want to talk about something that came up on social media in April. We posted a photo of Teddy Zgrzemski and Bill Hines, and wrote about how Bill took Teddy under his wing when he was 12 years old. Bought him lunch and breakfast as payment. Taught him the trade. That post reached almost 47,000 people on Facebook. Over a thousand reactions. But what caught my attention was...
HeyReader Below are thelatest news and updatesfrom your friends at Kustomrama KUSTOMRAMA NEWSLETTER NO. 216 For over 200 issues, the Monthly Kustomrama Newsletter has been the place where new Kustomrama stories first appeared. You read them here before they went anywhere else. I liked that. It felt right. The people who cared the most got the stories first. This year, we changed our approach on Facebook and Instagram. Instead of using the feed to push out links and spread material, we started...
